This print will go together with a section of text from José Antonio Emmanuel’s La Anarquía explicada a los niños from 1931.
It’s cut on linoleum, and printed on a 71.5 gsm Kozo rice paper from Yasutomo retailed in the US as Japanese Sketch Paper. Made from the kōzo plant (paper mulberry tree or Broussonetia papyrifera, if you will), the paper has extraordinarily long fibers. It’s a strong, thin paper, and this means it prints nicely even with my crude handprinting techniques.
