Ver sacrum (which means “sacred spring” in latin) was a magazine founded by Gustav Klimt and Max Kurzweil, published from 1898 to 1903. It was the official magazine of the Vienna Secession, an Austrian art movement that had much in common with Art Nouveau. Among the members of the Vienna Secession — painters, graphic artists, sculptors and architects — were Josef Hoffman, Koloman Moser, and Otto Wagner.
